Newborn Sessions — How It Works
- Where: In-home or my home studio.
- When: Best at 5–14 days, but I’m flexible — we can shoot later too.
- Length: 2–3 hours, baby-led with plenty of feeding/settling breaks.
- Style: Natural, timeless, minimal props. Safety first — no unsafe poses or suspensions.

Warm room ~24–26°C; I can bring white noise.
Feed on arrival and as needed; have extra nappies, wipes, 2–3 muslin swaddles/burp cloths, and a spare onesie.
Simple, neutral outfits (no big logos); a neutral blanket/wrap you like.
Clear one bright corner near a window (we can move a coffee table/chair if needed).
Pacifier (only if you use one).
Colic relief: bring any drops/medicine you already use as advised by your pediatrician (parents administer; I don’t give medication).
Siblings: plan their part for the first or last 30–45 min and bring a snack + water + a quiet activity(book/colouring/tablet with headphones).
Pets welcome by request if calm.
Policies & Terms
Booking: To secure your date, a A$100 booking fee is required (non-refundable, deducted from the final price).
Payment: The remaining balance is due on the shooting day.
Editing policy: Light, natural edit on all delivered images. Beauty retouching (skin/body shaping) is not included; add-on A$20–A$50 per image.
Travel: Travel within Melbourne metro — included. For locations outside Melbourne, additional travel costsmay apply depending on distance and accommodation.
Delivery: Online gallery within 1–2 weeks.
Reschedule: Newborns are unpredictable — 1 complimentary reschedule if the baby or mom isn’t well (please give as much notice as possible).
Safety & hygiene: Clean, sanitized wraps/props every session; hand hygiene; mask on request. A parent is always close as a spotter for certain poses.
Extra images/time: Extra images A$15 each or A$150 / +15. Extra time A$120/hour (only if needed and available).
Twins: +A$100 (longer for laying down and changing sets).
Usage rights: Personal use license (print/social). RAW files aren’t provided.
Portfolio release discount: For Fine-Art Selects, save A$100 when you allow me to share selected images on my website/Instagram. No names or personal details published; online removal on request within 10 business days.
